Elena La-Deur

Elena La-Deur is a German flautist, based in Wuppertal, Germany. As a recipient of a scholarship from the Schuler Stiftung, she is currently studying with Prof. Dirk Peppel at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Cologne and will graduate in 2023 with a Bachelor of Music. Among other works, she has performed the Mozart Flute Concerto in G Major as a soloist and is at home in many genres of chamber music, including being skilled on the traverse flute and in contemporary music. As an orchestra musician, she has been a member of various orchestras, including international concert tours to countries such as Italy, Jordan and Namibia.

Born in Karlsruhe, Elena began her music education on the flute and on the piano. From 2014 until her commencement with Prof. Dirk Peppel in 2017 she was taught by Tamar Romach – principal flautist of the Badische Staatskapelle Karlsruhe. In addition to her formal studies, Elena has taken part in masterclasses with Carin Levine, Renate Greiss-Armin, Anne-Cathérine Heinzmann and Ulla Miilmann. Furthermore, she has received several scholarships and was a prize-winner of the “Lions Music Prize” in 2018.
